Comprehensive Language Assessment

An assessment of a child’s language abilities which include their receptive (listening and understanding) and expressive (oral communication through speaking) skills.

Suitable for children aged 5+.

What does it include?

Our comprehensive language assessment includes:

review of intake documents (background information) to be provided to the clinic by parents/carers at the time of booking

administration of the CELF5 (Comprehensive Evaluation of Language Fundamentals) - 75-minute clinic-based assessment session

scoring of test and completion of a comprehensive assessment report

feedback session with parents/carers to discuss the report findings and recommendations

Pragmatics Profile add-on

The Pragmatics Profile add-on includes:

scoring and review of the Pragmatics Profile - (checklists completed by the child's parents/carers and teacher/childcare and sent to the clinic)

brief summary of Pragmatics Profile (to be included in the comprehensive language assessment report)
