Our stuttering assessment includes:
review of intake documents (background information) to be provided to the clinic by parents/carers at the time of booking
completion of an assessment of the child's speech with parents and with the clinician during conversation and/or game (where possible a sample of the child's speech will be audio recorded), in addition to a language screening assessment (Renfrew Action Picture Test) (vocabulary and grammar) and/or speech sounds screening assessment (Diagnostic Evaluation & Phonology test) (depending on child's age) 60-90 minutes.
scoring and review of the assessment results and audio recording
completion of a comprehensive assessment report with recommendations
feedback session with parents/carers to discuss the report findings and recommendations
