
Steven Wickens
Psychologist
Steven is a registered psychologist with postgraduate training in clinical neuropsychology from the University of Melbourne and many years of experience in private practice and multidisciplinary mental health settings. He works with children, adolescents, and adults across a range of concerns, including ADHD and learning difficulties, anxiety and mood difficulties, trauma, sleep problems, and stress or burnout. He also provides comprehensive psychological and neurodevelopmental assessments across the lifespan.
Steven takes a calm, collaborative, and process-based approach, grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other evidence-based psychological frameworks. His focus is on helping people understand their experiences and build skills that support everyday wellbeing and long-term meaningful change.
Alongside his clinical work, he has experience in multidisciplinary teams and maintains an ongoing interest in research, including the integration of psychological therapy with emerging neuromodulation approaches. He aims to provide thoughtful, considerate, personcentred care that balances compassion, and practical support.
