Dr Rebecca Bale

Rebecca is a registered clinical psychologist with over 10 years experience working in the public, private, and not-for profit sectors. She has experience providing individual, dyad, and group therapy to children and adolescents and feels particularly passionate about working closely with parents to support them in understanding and supporting their child. Rebecca has worked for several years with high risk young people with complex mental health needs, conducting thorough assessments, and providing brief to long-term therapeutic support for a range of presenting difficulties including anxiety, depression, feeding and eating difficulties, school refusal, behavioural difficulties, psych-somatic presentations, and high risk behaviours. She also has experience working with young people with chronic illness (endocrine disorders such as Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes). More recently, Rebecca has worked as a senior clinical psychologist and team leader of a public child and adolescent mental health team. Rebecca recognises the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients and their families and draws on a range of therapeutic frameworks with a particular focus on attachment and relationally-based interventions. She is a trained facilitator of Circle of Security Parenting and Tuning into Kids.
