Erica Lane

Psychologist

Erica is a general psychologist with a background in Educational and Developmental Psychology. She has worked in a variety of roles with Headspace for 6 years, supporting adolescents, young adults and their families experiencing mood difficulties, self-harm and suicide risk, drug and alcohol use, LGBTQIA+ community, and school refusal. Utilising her background as a secondary teacher, Erica believes in supporting clients from a systems approach, acknowledging that a client’s difficulties can extend across school, work and family networks. As an AuDHD psychologist, Erica understands the importance of celebrating her client’s strengths and interests when supporting them through challenges and strongly believes in working from a neurodiverse affirming perspective. Erica uses a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy. Erica has a keen interest in psychoeducational and developmental assessment, particularly for those seeking to understand their neurodivergence. She enjoys working closely with clients and parents to identify and support ADHD, Autism and learning disorders, and is keen to support adults seeking assessment of these and career assessment. She also enjoys supporting clients who are experiencing mood disorders including anxiety, depression and adjusting to change. Erica is a fully registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society. She is working to complete endorsement as an Educational and Developmental Psychologist.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary), Bachelor of Health Science, Graduate Certificate of Psychology, Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Advanced), Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology.
